As we are right in the middle of the season it’s hard not to feel great about the state of football in Indiana.

The high school football sectionals are going strong with some great matchups for sectional championships this Friday night.

The Colts are off to a strong start a 5-2.

Notre Dame is undefeated and ranked 4th in country. They host #1 Clemson on Saturday with a chance to make a very strong case for a spot in the College Football Playoffs.

Purdue is 2-0 in the Big Ten after beating Iowa and Illinois. The Boilermakers are receiving votes for both the AP and Coaches polls.

Indiana is 2-0 in the Big Ten as well, including the huge upset win over Penn State. The Hoosiers showed up at #8 in the ESPN power rankings and sit at #13 in both the AP and Coaches polls. This is their highest ranking in the AP poll since 1987.
