Coming off of their bye week the Colts were matched up against the best quarterback they’ve seen so far this season in Matthew Stafford. The Lions entered the game at 3-3 at had won their last two games.

The Lions scored first and led the game 0-7 after the first quarter. The second quarter was all Colts scoring the next 20 points in the game. The Lions responded in the 3rd with another touchdown, cutting the lead to just 6. Momentum shifted back in the Colts favor after a strip sack by Darius Leonard in his first game back after injury. The Colts would run away with the game after this, beating the Lions 41-21.

Phillip Rivers looked like his old self. He went 23-32 with 262 yards and 3 TDs. Jordan Wilkins led the backfield for Indy. Wilkins ha a career high in carries and rushed for 89 yards while adding a TD. Nyheim Hines was the real star of the offense in this game. Hines scored twice through the air and capped things off with a couple impressive TD celebrations.

With the Titans losing the Colts are now tied for the top of the AFC South at 5-2, but things don’t get any easier for the Colts. Their next 4 games include Baltimore, Tennessee, Green Bay and Tennessee again.
